Mossad Infiltrates Houthi Women's Gathering in Sana'a: Major Security Breach Exposes Secret Sites
Last week, Yemen’s capital Sana’a witnessed a major intelligence breach that shook the Houthi leadership, after Israeli intelligence agency Mossad reportedly infiltrated a private "qat-chewing session" attended by the wives of senior Houthi officials. The breach led to the leak of highly sensitive information regarding secret militia locations.
Sources told Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni on Sunday that the targeted gathering included wives of prominent Houthi leaders as well as members of the female security wing known as "Zainabiyat". Under the influence of qat, some of the attendees reportedly lost control of their conversations and inadvertently revealed crucial details about undisclosed Houthi sites.
One of these disclosed locations was later struck by an Israeli airstrike, which resulted in the killing of several high-ranking Houthi figures, including the prominent commander "Al-Ghamari".
Following the incident, the Houthi intelligence service imposed a set of strict measures, banning the wives of leaders from attending social events or consuming qat altogether. Additional restrictions included banning the use of mobile phones at gatherings, disconnecting home surveillance systems from the internet, and ordering key commanders to relocate from their known residences while reducing the number of their security guards.
This development underscores the growing vulnerability within the Houthi security structure, as increasing intelligence operations appear to be penetrating the group's inner circles and compromising their once-formidable secrecy.
