Protests Erupt in Aden: Economic Collapse and Living Conditions Under Fire
Hundreds of residents from Aden and neighboring provinces gathered on Tuesday at Al-Arood Square to protest the worsening economic and living conditions in the country. The Yemeni riyal has hit a historic low against foreign currencies, with the dollar exceeding 2,191 riyals in banking transactions earlier this morning.
The protesters held the Presidential Leadership Council accountable for the catastrophic economic deterioration, demanding immediate action to address the crisis or face the consequences of its failure before the people. In a statement, the protesters condemned the government's disregard for public demands and essential needs, describing it as a sign of negligence toward the suffering of the population.
The demonstrators also called on the Saudi-led coalition and the international community to take decisive steps to support the rights of the southern people, ensure their right to a dignified life, and rescue them from widespread corruption and the collapse of essential services
