Mass Rally in Marib for Gaza: Protesters Launch 'One Million Meals' Aid Campaign
On Saturday evening, the city of Marib witnessed a massive public demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and in protest against the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation amid a suffocating blockade and worsening humanitarian conditions.
Participants carried banners condemning the aggression and described it as a "systematic genocide" targeting over two million civilians.
In a strongly worded statement, protesters denounced the Israeli attacks as “the ugliest form of ethnic cleansing in the 21st century,” holding the occupation and its international backers fully responsible for the crimes and violations occurring in Gaza.
The statement urged the international community — particularly the United Nations and the Security Council — to act immediately to end the aggression, lift the blockade, and enforce the ceasefire agreement.
It also called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as free people around the world, to break the silence and take urgent steps to open border crossings and deliver humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to civilians trapped under siege.
The demonstrators reaffirmed that resistance against occupation is a legitimate right enshrined in international law, and voiced their unwavering support for the Palestinian struggle until full liberation and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
At the end of the rally, organizers announced the launch of a humanitarian campaign aiming to provide one million meals for Gaza’s residents, with each meal costing 10,000 Yemeni riyals — part of a grassroots initiative to bolster resilience amid the ongoing siege.
