Netanyahu speaks to an almost empty hall… Israel’s arrogance and Gaza genocide deepen its global isolation

At the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered his speech to rows of empty seats, after dozens of delegations walked out in protest of what they called Israel’s “genocide” against civilians in Gaza.

Despite the boycott, Netanyahu pressed on, vowing to “finish the job” in Gaza and denouncing countries that recognized the State of Palestine as engaging in “political madness.”

He also widened his threats beyond Gaza, targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen, claiming they are Iranian proxies that would “pay a heavy price” if they continue their attacks against Israel.

Netanyahu further revealed that Israel had broadcast his speech directly into Gaza through border loudspeakers and even took over mobile devices inside the Strip to spread his message — a move analysts described as a dangerous escalation in the war over information and perception.

The reactions inside the UN were telling: Israel is facing unprecedented isolation. Netanyahu, long known for his arrogance, this time addressed an almost empty hall — a stark symbol that the international community increasingly views both him and his policies as a political and moral burden, pushing Israel into deeper global isolation..
