Trump Calls Yemeni-American Ambassador in Kuwait, Pledges “Unlimited Support” and Hints at “Historic Peace”

Yemeni-American diplomat Amir Ghalib, the U.S. ambassador to Kuwait, revealed that he received a personal phone call from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who reaffirmed his “unlimited support” for Ghalib’s appointment and expressed confidence in his leadership.

According to Ghalib, Trump denounced “attempts by certain parties to obstruct this appointment,” stressing that “no one will stand in the way” of the decision.

Trump also recalled Ghalib’s role in mobilizing Arab and Muslim support during the U.S. presidential elections, joking that his approval rating among Detroit’s Muslim community “jumped from zero to 75% thanks to you.”

The ambassador said Trump extended his gratitude to the Arab and Muslim communities, assuring them that he remains committed to his promises — particularly “achieving lasting peace in the Middle East and ending the war in Gaza.”

Trump concluded the call by hinting at an imminent “historic peace agreement that will end wars forever and open a new chapter for the region.”
