Houthi Buildup Set to Be Fiercest in Years… Yemeni Army Raises Readiness for Decisive Battle

Senior military sources warned Aden Alghad about the escalating mobilization by Houthi militias in recent days, amid reports that they are preparing for a new round of fighting, potentially the fiercest in years.

Major General Haikal Hantaf, commander of the Sixth Military Region, stated that the group’s movements show no signs of peace, reflecting premeditated preparations for a large-scale battle. Forces in the front-line areas have entered a state of high readiness, awaiting directives from political and military leadership.

Hantaf noted that the recent truce was used by the Houthis to reposition and replenish strength, benefiting from Iranian arms supplies and significant financial levies, with their combat tactics showing the clear imprint of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to the information, the army monitored Iranian experts overseeing drone operations and missile attacks in Al-Jawf, Hodeidah, and Saada, alongside direct supervision of ballistic missile workshops in Saada, Dhamar, and Sana’a, indicating Iran’s deep involvement in the conflict.

Hantaf called on political leadership to enhance military and logistical support, stressing the importance of discipline, vigilance, adherence to rules of engagement and international humanitarian law, and protection of civilians. He also urged tribes and local resistance to strengthen joint coordination, a critical factor in any upcoming battle.

He confirmed that the army is ready to launch a decisive battle once ordered by the high command.
