Israeli Defense Minister Vows Israel's "Long Arm" Will Reach Houthi Leaders
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant vowed that Israel's "long arm" would reach the Houthi leaders, following a series of airstrikes targeting areas in Sana'a and Hodeidah.
Gallant warned that any attack on Israel would be met with a severe response, saying, "Anyone who raises their hand against the State of Israel will have it cut off, and anyone who harms it will face seven times the harm." These statements came after the Houthis fired missiles toward the occupied territories, escalating tensions in the region.
Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen, speaking to Israeli military radio, stated that the recent airstrikes would not be the last, adding, "I believe this will not be the last time we operate in Yemen."
The Israeli military, in a statement, confirmed it carried out precise strikes on Houthi military targets, including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana'a, which had been used for military purposes.
Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, reflecting the growing threat from the Houthis and underscoring Israel’s readiness to respond to any attacks on its security.
