Chief of Staff: Houthi Regime Must Be Defeated for Peace and Security
The Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces and Commander of Joint Operations, Major General Saghir bin Aziz, emphasized that peace, security, and stability in Yemen and the region can only be achieved by defeating the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist group.

This statement was made during the graduation ceremony of specialized training courses in artillery, sniper tactics, and drone operations at the Nasr Training Camp in Marib on Saturday. The event coincided with the launch of the 2025 training, combat, and operational year, according to the official news site September Net.

Major General Bin Aziz affirmed that victory would be achieved through the efforts of the Yemeni army, security forces, and the honorable members of the resistance. He stressed that the sacrifices and the precious bloodshed would not be in vain, adding that the Houthi militia and its Iranian-backed agenda would inevitably collapse, similar to how other Iranian-backed groups have fallen in the past

He praised the efforts of the Training and Rehabilitation Authority, as well as the military instructors, in preparing the armed forces to take on their constitutional duties and national responsibilities with professionalism and competence. He underscored that training and development were the foundational elements of Yemen’s national struggle to restore its state, freedom, and dignity. He expressed confidence that the graduates would be role models in the fields and locations they would be assigned to, and he commended their discipline and dedication during the training process, as well as the military and combat skills they had acquired.

Major General Bin Aziz emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to prepare, train, and build a strong, unified armed forces, grounded in solid principles and national values. He assured that these forces would continue to work toward achieving the aspirations of the Yemeni people in ending rebellion and terrorism, and in restoring peace and security under the flag of the Republic of Yemen

He also acknowledged the crucial support provided by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, to the Yemeni people and their leadership, as well as their backing of the Yemeni Armed Forces. Bin Aziz highlighted ongoing efforts to work with partners and allies to develop the military capabilities of Yemen’s army and security forces, ensuring that they are prepared to fulfill their missions and contribute to regional security and counterterrorism efforts.

During the ceremony, the graduates demonstrated their skills in combat operations, including assault, storming, raids, and sniping against virtual targets, showcasing the advanced skills they had acquired during their training. Major General Bin Aziz awarded certificates and accolades to the outstanding graduates for their excellence in the training courses
