While Western Media Confirmed Al-Ghamari’s Death, Houthis Say “No Strikes Took Place”… Deny Israeli Assassination Narrative
Western media outlets reported that top Houthi commander Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a secret meeting in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, on Saturday night. However, the Houthis officially denied these claims.

A senior Houthi official told China Media Group that "no airstrikes or explosions occurred in Sana’a that night," dismissing the circulating reports as false. Houthi political bureau member Hazem al-Assad also denied that any leaders were targeted.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the strike was aimed directly at Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, while Axios reported that the main target was Al-Ghamari. Israel’s Public Broadcasting Corporation described the operation as a “high-profile assassination attempt.”

Sources speaking to Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni said the strike targeted a secret compound near Al-Rasheed University in southern Sana’a, where a high-level military meeting was reportedly being held. Among those present were Al-Ghamari and senior commander Abu Ali al-Hakem, along with other unidentified figures.
