Israeli Strikes Shake Sana’a: Houthi Targets and Civil Areas Hit
According to informed sources, Israeli airstrikes in Sana’a on Thursday targeted Houthi military and security sites while also hitting residential areas, causing widespread damage and injuring numerous civilians.
Military platform Defense Line reported that the strikes hit Houthi military facilities and security offices but also affected residential buildings, resulting in significant infrastructure damage and casualties.
Journalist Fares Al-Hemiri stated that one of the strikes completely destroyed a villa in Hadeh District, southern Sana’a. Sources confirmed that the villa, previously owned by the General Organization for Social Insurance, had been seized by Houthi leaders and converted into a military operations room. The villa was located near the residence of prominent arms dealer and Houthi commander Fares Mena’a.
The attacks have resulted in 8 deaths and over 140 injuries, mostly from a strike on a three-story residential building on Riqas Street in the Me’in District of the capital.
Other strategic targets included:
-
Presidential Guard Camp in Nehdin
-
Houthi General Staff Command and Control Center in Hadeh District
-
Power stations and renewable energy facilities
Military analysts noted that the strikes indicate an expansion of Israeli targeting of sensitive Houthi leadership and facilities in the heart of the capital, signaling a firm deterrent message in response to recent Houthi escalations.
