Houthi Leader Threatens Muslim Country Over Trade Ties with Israel—Turkey Hinted as Target
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia, issued veiled threats against an unnamed Muslim country, accusing it of increasing trade ties with Israel despite its public support for the Palestinian cause.

In a televised speech aired by the Houthi-run Al-Masirah channel, al-Houthi suggested that the country is helping Israel offset the impact of the Red Sea blockade imposed by his group, noting that “the port of Eilat remains fully closed.”

While al-Houthi did not mention any nation by name, Houthi-linked media outlets strongly indicated that Turkey was the target of his remarks. The development comes amid rising tensions between Ankara and Tehran-aligned factions in the region.

As of the time of reporting, Turkey has not issued any official response to al-Houthi’s accusations.
