Speaking to the press on Sunday evening, Sadr claimed: "Russia provided Israel with information on Iran’s air defense centers."

He argued that the 12-day war between Iran and Israel last June "proved that the so-called strategic alliance with Moscow is worthless."

Sadr also described the death of former President Ebrahim Raisi as an "assassination," adding: "This was Israel’s doing. From the very first moment, I said it was an assassination." He stressed that through Raisi’s killing, Israel sent a clear message: "If Tehran continues, we will continue as well."
