Yemeni researcher Abdullah Mohsen revealed the disappearance of a rare collection of gold jewelry from Aden Museum, with a total length exceeding 3.5 meters — marking one of the most significant cultural heritage losses in Yemen’s history.
According to Mohsen, Aden Museum has lost dozens of unique artifacts over the years, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, some of which later appeared in international auctions. He described this as clear evidence of organized smuggling networks.
Mohsen warned that the continuous plundering of Aden’s artifacts represents a systematic destruction of Yemen’s cultural identity, urging an urgent investigation into the scandal.
