Miftah was appointed following the death of his predecessor Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi and nine ministers in an Israeli airstrike in late August.

Miftah said, “It is a great honor for us to be on this path, and for an entire government to be martyred on the way to Jerusalem, God willing.”

He also expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza: “We are with you and will never leave you, no matter the sacrifices.”
