Urgent Alert from Washington: U.S. Urges Citizens to Leave Over 14 Middle Eastern Countries Immediately

The U.S. Department of State on Monday urged American citizens to leave more than 14 countries in the Middle East “immediately,” citing serious security risks amid escalating regional tensions.

In a post on X, the department stated: “Depart now using commercial transportation options due to significant security risks,” emphasizing the need for swift action.

The warning comes as U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran continue, fueling heightened security concerns and expanding regional instability.

Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Maura Namdar said Americans in the affected countries are being urged to use available commercial travel options and depart promptly before any developments potentially disrupt air travel or border crossings.

The advisory covers Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

The State Department said it is closely monitoring developments and advised U.S. citizens to follow updates from American embassies and consulates, as well as adhere to local security guidance.

The move reflects growing concern in Washington over the potential widening of the conflict and its impact on civilian safety and regional stability.
