Houthi Militias Launch Mass Abduction Campaign in Al-Masoud Village
Human rights sources confirmed that the Houthi terrorist militias carried out a large-scale abduction campaign following their raid on Hanaka Al-Masoud village in Al-Quraishyah District of Al-Bayda Governorate. The campaign targeted hundreds of civilians, including children and elderly people.

Sources, speaking to "Yemen Shabab Net," reported that the Houthi campaign resulted in the abduction of more than 400 civilians, with a significant number of them being elderly and children, sparking widespread concern among the local community.

According to the sources, the Houthis transferred around 340 abductees to the Reda Security Directorate prison in the Kamp area, while 60 others were moved to the central prison in Reda.

Additionally, the sources revealed that the militias forcibly displaced women and children from their homes and looted valuable belongings.

In a statement published by their security media, the Houthis acknowledged the killings and abductions of Al-Masoud village residents, accusing them of being "criminal elements affiliated with ISIS." This accusation is a common pretext the militias use to justify their actions against civilians and tribes.

Reports from human rights and local sources disclosed that the Houthis planted explosives, burned, and looted 22 homes after their invasion. This came after an intense siege and heavy bombardment that lasted over a week.

The reports also indicated that the militias carried out retaliatory actions, including the field execution of some wounded individuals, exacerbating ongoing violations against civilians.

It is worth noting that the Houthis stormed the village with a significant force consisting of dozens of armored vehicles, supported by heavy artillery and drones. The operation resulted in numerous civilian casualties, including women and children, according to human rights reports.
