Israel Conducts Airstrike on Sana’a Airport, Targeting Houthi Drones
The Israeli military announced on Wednesday morning that it carried out an airstrike on Sana’a International Airport in Yemen, claiming it targeted aerial units used by the “Houthi terrorist regime” to transport operatives for attacks against Israel.

In an official statement, military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that the attack was in response to continued threats against Israeli citizens, adding: “Similar to the ports of Hodeidah and Salif, Sana’a Airport is regularly used by the Houthis for terrorist purposes.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed the strike destroyed the last operational drone belonging to the Houthis, and declared a naval and aerial blockade on Yemen. He warned that “anyone who attacks us will pay a heavy price.”

According to Hebrew media, over 10 warplanes took part in the operation. The Israeli military vowed to continue targeting threats “no matter the distance or challenge.”

The attack marks another escalation in the ongoing regional conflict involving Israel and Iran-backed armed groups in Yemen.
